Description
The construction funding for early childhood education and care facilities in Styria provides non-repayable grants from the construction fund to public and non-profit providers to strengthen infrastructure, education, and social care services. Eligible measures include structural works such as new constructions, renovations, extensions and conversions, as well as replacement buildings, along with the pedagogical design of outdoor areas. The program aims at a modern, future-oriented spatial design for children and youth, linking infrastructure & urban development with education & training as well as work & social affairs. Applications must be submitted before the start of construction during specified call periods; only projects effective from 01.01.2015 onwards are funded. Completion must occur within 18 months after the funding commitment.
Prerequisites for funding include approval of the construction measures by the state government, proof of construction costs, a minimum operational period of five years, and the conclusion of a legally binding funding agreement. For application submission, the completed application form, a cost estimate according to ÖNORM B 1801-1, original invoices, and payment receipts are required. During a final inspection, compliance with plans and specifications as well as the proper operation of the facility will be verified.
