Description
The Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy specifically supports investment projects of commercial enterprises in Bavaria through the Bavarian regional funding programs/Regional Credit. Funding is provided for the establishment, expansion, modernization, relocation, diversification, as well as the takeover of business premises in rural and structurally weak regions. Grants, wage subsidies, and interest subsidies are possible – also in combination – with a funding rate of up to 100% of eligible expenses. Eligible costs include, among others, acquisition and production costs for new fixed assets, intangible assets, as well as wage costs for newly created jobs. Companies must not have started the project yet and must provide an appropriate equity contribution. Furthermore, it must be ensured that no public-law obstacles exist and that environmental, spatial planning, and state planning concerns are maintained. The project duration is up to 36 months, while a retention period of the funded assets for at least five years must be guaranteed. Small and medium-sized enterprises benefit from higher funding intensities as well as supplementary EU regional fund resources and GRW grants.
Applications must be submitted online or in writing to the responsible district government before the start of the project. Required documents include, among others, the financing confirmation from the house bank, annual financial statements of the last three fiscal years, cost breakdown, business registration or commercial register excerpt, as well as planning and building permit documents for construction projects. A consultation with the district government is recommended to ensure compliance with legal requirements and optimal compensation of regional development objectives – such as job security, structural change, and strengthening competitiveness. Applications that provide the required evidence and meet the funding criteria can expect comprehensive support within the framework of the Bavarian Regional Credit.
