Bavarian Energy Research Program

The Bavarian Energy Research Program supports innovative research and development projects in Bavaria with the aim of sustainably strengthening innovation capacity in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energies, and climate protection. Companies, educational institutions, public bodies, as well as start-ups can apply for financial grants to advance forward-looking technologies and processes. By promoting scientific initiatives and industrial pilot projects, efficiency improvements in the energy sector are driven forward and the use of renewable resources in the region is intensified. Interested project sponsors receive support and advice from the project management agency Jülich (PtJ), which, as an experienced service provider for the public sector, accompanies all steps from application submission to success monitoring. The PtJ accreditation according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001 ensures high quality and information security throughout the entire funding process.

Through targeted support of research and development activities, the program contributes to the creation of innovative value chains and the strengthening of Bavaria as a technology location. It is aimed at project consortia that develop new solutions to improve energy efficiency or increase the share of renewable energy sources. The comprehensive service offering of the project management agency includes, among other things, the technical evaluation of funding applications, monitoring of approved projects, as well as the disbursement of funds based on standardized billing forms. This initiative not only promotes scientific exchange but also secures the long-term competitiveness of regional stakeholders.
