Description
The nationwide continuing education scholarship of the Foundation for the Promotion of Talented Vocational Education (SBB) is aimed at young professionals who have completed a dual vocational training program with outstanding achievements and wish to deepen their qualifications through part-time further education. Eligibility criteria include an exceptionally good final grade in the dual training, a concrete plan for a part-time continuing education measure, and usually an age under 25 years. Evaluation is based on the final grade, the quality of the continuing education concept, and personal motivation. Applications can be submitted throughout the year, and there is no binding period, allowing interested parties to plan flexibly.
Funding is provided for up to 24 months with a monthly amount of 300 euros, which may be used for course and tuition fees, specialist literature, and travel expenses. Costs for private living expenses or purchases outside the scope of subject-related continuing education are not covered. To apply, the completed application form, vocational training certificate, proof of continuing education, a tabular CV, and bank details must be submitted. As an award and recognition, this program supports committed graduates of dual training programs in expanding their professional prospects and qualifying for demanding roles in their field. The SBB advises and supports recipients throughout the entire funding period and serves as a central contact point with practical expertise.
