Description
The Alois Lauer Foundation has been supporting talented young people from Dillingen/Saar and the municipality of Nalbach for years with individual scholarships and targeted grants. Funding is provided for both school education through multi-day educational trips and language study stays, as well as degree programs at German universities up to the bachelor's degree. In addition, the foundation enables individual projects at schools to implement scientific, linguistic, or technical initiatives locally. This long-term funding measure aims to sustainably strengthen the personal and professional development of gifted young citizens and to make their commitment in the region visible.
Eligible to participate are private individuals residing or attending school in Dillingen/Saar or Nalbach. Selection is made through the respective school; for study scholarships, in addition to a high school diploma average of at least 2.0, proof of social engagement and current grade reports must be submitted. Eligible expenses include travel costs, accommodation and meals, pocket money, as well as tuition fees. The Alois Lauer Foundation accepts ongoing applications without a fixed deadline; applications are submitted exclusively through the schools. Academic performance, personal commitment, and recommendation by the educational institution are evaluated. Through this transparent procedure, outstanding students have the opportunity to further deepen their academic interests and shape their educational path according to their own ideas.
