Description

The German-Israeli youth exchange program of the Begegnungsstätte Gollwitz Foundation is aimed at young people aged 15 to 18 residing in Brandenburg an der Havel or the surrounding area. During the Easter holidays 2026 (March 29–April 8, 2026), participants will experience two intensive weeks of encounters in Israel, including stays in Ra’anana and Kibbutz Yad Mordechai: accommodation with carefully selected host families, full board, guided excursions to Jerusalem, Nazareth, Tel Aviv, the Red Sea, and the Dead Sea, as well as a cultural program featuring political workshops and sports activities to promote intercultural learning and social cohesion. A mandatory preparatory meeting at Schloss Gollwitz (March 13–15, 2026) ensures comprehensive information and secure organization.

The application for a grant from the Begegnungsstätte Gollwitz Foundation covers all travel-related expenses: flight and travel costs, accommodation, meals, program and insurance services – with a personal contribution of €550. The reciprocal visit of Israeli youths will take place during the summer holidays 2026 at the Begegnungsstätte Schloss Gollwitz and will deepen the bilateral exchange. Eligible for funding are individuals who meet the age and residency requirements. The registration deadline for the Easter holiday exchange is March 13, 2026. This funding strengthens democratic engagement, political education, and international youth work, offering participants the opportunity to build bridges between Germany and Israel.
