Description

Subsidy for One-Person Enterprises supports micro-enterprises throughout Austria in the initial hiring of a fully insured employee. The grant covers a flat-rate reimbursement of the employer’s social security contribution amounting to 24% of the contribution base for a maximum of 12 months. Eligible applicants are one-person enterprises as well as start-ups that are hiring a fully insured employee for the first time or again after at least five years. A prerequisite is an existing GSVG health and pension insurance for at least three months, as well as an employment relationship with at least 50% of the collective agreement weekly hours and a duration of more than two months. Newly hired job seekers must have been registered as unemployed for at least two weeks prior or immediately after completing their training. Close relatives, managing bodies, apprentices, contract workers, new self-employed persons, and freelancers are not eligible for funding.

The funding volume is continuously available until fully allocated, and applications must be submitted exclusively via the eAMS account no later than six weeks after the start of the employment relationship. With a funding rate of 24% of the general contribution base, the program aims to increase labor market participation and reduce unemployment. The straightforward digital application process facilitates access to financial relief for one-person enterprises and creates incentives to quickly integrate qualified job seekers into the company. This subsidy strengthens employment prospects for labor market-relevant target groups and provides companies with sustainable support during the personnel development phase.
