Description
The "Assistance with Course Ancillary Costs" provided by the Public Employment Service Austria (AMS) is aimed at private individuals in Austria who participate in labor market policy-relevant training and further education measures, career orientation, or work training programs. The objective of this funding is to reduce cost-related barriers resulting from the distance between the place of residence and the training location or due to the duration of the measure. Travel expenses, accommodation, and meals are funded at a rate of 100% to ensure full cost coverage and facilitate access to essential qualifications.
Eligible applicants are unemployed persons following prior counseling and support by the AMS, as well as employees or recipients of further education allowance or educational leave with an income below the specified upper limit. A prerequisite is that the attended course demonstrably increases the chances of placement in the labor market. Funding can be continuously applied for until the allocated budget is exhausted. With this direct grant funding, the AMS actively supports professional integration and contributes to increasing labor market participation and reducing unemployment in Austria.
