Contributions for Noise Protection Measures

The funding measure “Contributions for Noise Protection Measures” supports private individuals in Vorarlberg with investments in passive noise protection along former federal roads. In the form of a non-repayable grant, measures are funded that serve to reduce the immission burden in the immediate residential environment. The funding campaign is open from July 1, 2025, indefinitely until the allocated volume of €0.1 million is exhausted and can be applied for both new buildings and existing properties in the areas of environmental/nature conservation, infrastructure, energy efficiency & climate protection, as well as urban development. Applications are submitted individually and approved within an ongoing deadline as soon as all documentation has been provided.

The main objective is the sustainable improvement of quality of life through the reduction of traffic noise. A prerequisite is a noise engineering report documenting the exceedance of immission limit values. Additionally, the technical feasibility and economic viability of the planned noise protection measures must be demonstrated. The evaluation is based on clear criteria: technical feasibility and cost-benefit effect. This initiative makes an important contribution to sustainably protecting residents along former federal roads from noise and promoting climate protection measures through efficient noise protection construction technology.
