Description
Contributions to the Economic Optimization of Elderly Care is aimed at public institutions and companies in Styria that operate or privately manage nursing homes. Funding is provided to social welfare associations, municipalities, as well as private nursing home operators who wish to adjust the capacities of their facilities to current economic requirements through bed relocations. The goal is a sustainable increase in efficiency in the field of elderly care, to use resources sensibly and reduce vacancies. Financial support is granted in the form of subsidies for material costs and assists applicants in flexibly managing the number of beds without increasing the total bed capacity in Styria. The program is continuously open and provides ongoing planning and implementation security.
For a successful application, applicants must submit at least two comparative offers and present a positive needs assessment or a recognition notice in accordance with § 13a StSHG. Approval requires that the measure does not lead to an increase in the statewide bed volume. Payment is made upon submission of the original paid invoice. The basis for this is the Styrian Social Welfare Act and the Styrian Nursing Home Act. This funding measure enables an economically oriented structural development in elderly care that takes demographic change into account while simultaneously securing the financial stability of the providers.
