Description
The funding program "Consultation, Assistance, and Support for Museums" has been supporting museums, archives, and cultural institutions in Tyrol since 2010 in optimizing their equipment, restoring collection items, and conducting inventories. Funding is provided not only for the acquisition of display cases and special equipment but also for the creation of exhibition and inventory catalogs as well as IT-supported inventories. Special projects related to mediation, distribution, and public relations can also be applied for, as well as cooperations with other museums and research institutions. Thanks to ongoing application deadlines, funding can be coordinated promptly and integrated into a variety of initiatives. The state funding is provided in the form of direct grants and aims to strengthen Tyrol's cultural heritage and improve public access to museum offerings.
Eligible to apply are non-profit organizations, companies, private individuals, as well as interested citizens with a registered office or project activity in Tyrol. A prerequisite for the application is compliance with the provisions according to the Tyrolean Cultural Funding Act (§ 7) and Cultural Funding Guidelines (§ 3). A complete funding application must include a project description, a detailed budget, and a financing plan. Submission is made online via the Digital Service Tyrol form "Culture – General Funding Application." Since applications can be submitted at any time, both short-term measures and long-term planned special projects are suitable. Through financial and advisory support, Tyrolean museums and archives receive concrete assistance in modernizing their infrastructure and professionally presenting their collections.
