Description
The program Consultation and Assistance in Stressful Family Situations in Upper Austria provides preventive support to children and adolescents whose family circumstances, without early intervention, suggest a risk to the child's welfare. The funding is aimed at non-profit organizations and public institutions that implement services such as family and parenting counseling, supported living, and socio-pedagogical support services delivered by socio-pedagogical professionals. The goal is to avoid the deployment of child welfare interventions through timely support and to ensure the long-term protection of the child's welfare. Eligible measures are granted based on the identified needs of child and youth welfare services and upon submission of a suitability certificate according to § 9 Oö. KJHG 2014.
For the application, an informal request must be submitted including a precise description of the service content, a detailed cost calculation, and disclosure of the current financial management (for example, in the annual financial statement). Applications can be submitted at any time, as there are no deadlines. The total budget amounts to 5 million euros annually, awarded as a grant. Individual performance monitoring is conducted based on performance reports and evidence of the use of funds. Interested institutions can obtain further information from the Department of Child and Youth Welfare of the Upper Austrian State Government.
