Description
In Saarland, a program by the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Digital Affairs and Energy offers grants for pre-startup and development consulting. Consulting services are funded for founders as well as business successors with the aim of increasing the chances of success and sustainably securing startups. Natural persons and small businesses headquartered in Saarland benefit from support in economic, financial, and organizational matters. Structural disadvantages are addressed through special conditions for women, migrants, and craft startups, contributing to equal opportunities and targeted support for new business ideas.
The funding covers a flexible consulting quota with a maximum daily fee of €800. Depending on the target group, the subsidy amounts to 70% (general projects), 75% (craft businesses), or 80% (women and migrants) of eligible costs. Pre-startup and development consulting includes up to 10 working days (up to 12 working days for women-specific and migration-related consultations) as well as an additional 10 or 12 working days within 24 months after founding or takeover. Submission of the application documents – including consultant’s offer with terms of reference, proof of Chamber of Commerce/Chamber of Crafts membership, turnover information, de minimis declaration, and final report – must be made before the start of the consulting. Legal, tax, or insurance consulting as well as travel expenses are not eligible for funding.
