Funding objective

The goal of funding in "Vocationally Qualifying Language Support Plus" (BQS+) is to support and promote participants in labor market policy measures in Hesse for better integration into training and employment, including through the acquisition of German language skills. This new funding initiative enables educational and qualification providers to offer high-quality vocationally qualifying language support as an additional component within their qualification measures funded by job centers, employment agencies, or within the framework of Hesse's labor market promotion. A core element of vocationally qualifying language support is the conceptual and didactic linking of the subject matter of the basic measure with elements of language acquisition. The relevant funding principles or calls for proposals are decisive.

Description

The Vocational Language Support Plus (BQS+) in Hesse is aimed at public and educational institutions that implement labor market policy qualification measures. This ESF-funded program links subject matter content with targeted German language instruction and aims to effectively support adult job seekers as well as disadvantaged youth in acquiring job-related language skills. Through three quality levels – Entry, Deepening, and Excellence – providers can offer tailored programs according to their experience level, thereby sustainably promoting integration into training and employment.

Eligible for funding are project and measure providers in Hesse, including counties, independent cities, providers of training and employment promotion, as well as SGB II institutions, provided that vocational language support is embedded in the offer and participants demonstrate a need for job-related German language support. Applications are submitted electronically via the ESF-Hesse customer portal within the framework of time-limited funding calls, with the current funding guidelines being decisive. Qualification providers thus have the opportunity to optimize the existing language offerings and consistently combine professional training with language learning modules to pave the way into the labor market for people facing multiple challenges.
