Description

The funding program "Employment in Facilities for People with Mental Disabilities" in Styria is aimed at non-profit organizations and companies that operate private disability facilities and have a written service contract with the Styrian State Government. This open-ended grant measure supports day-structuring and stabilizing services for people with acute or chronic mental or psychiatric impairments and psychosocial problems. The goal is to restore the participants' resources in a protected environment to ensure self-determined living and the highest possible quality of life. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing facilities to apply for funding flexibly and according to their needs.

The focus is on psychosocial stabilization, the improvement of practical life skills, reintegration into the social environment, as well as the preparation for labor market integration as a precursor to vocational rehabilitation. Funding requirements include a valid disability-related decision for the persons being cared for and proof of a current service contract with the state government. To submit an application, the written service contract and the disability-related decision are required. Through this targeted funding, facilities can offer needy individuals a continuous daily structure and thereby lay the foundation for long-term social and professional participation.
