Description
Visitation Support promotes safe contact between parents at risk of poverty or with low income and their minor children not living in the same household in Austria. In highly contentious conflict cases following separation or divorce, professional socio-educational support in a neutral and barrier-free environment enables regular, conflict-free meetings. The measure according to § 111 AußStrG includes an initial phase, accompaniment during visitation contacts, preparation and follow-up, interim discussions, as well as a binding closing discussion. The duration is generally limited to twelve months and a maximum of 40 hours and can be extended to two years or 80 hours in hardship cases.
100% funding is exclusively aimed at non-profit organizations whose visitation supervisors are recognized professionals (e.g., educators, social workers, (child) psychologists). Flat hourly rates of €48.80 per hour for employees and €53.48 for freelance or self-employed visitation supervisors cover personnel and overhead costs. Applications can be submitted continuously depending on budget availability. Funding requirements include an income below the poverty risk threshold, a court order or documented agreement according to § 111 AußStrG, as well as the provision of child-safe, barrier-free premises. Applicants must submit a project description, financing plan, CVs, an extract from the association register, statutes, balance sheet, and activity report with their application.
