Description
The funding is aimed at private, non-profit child and youth welfare institutions in Styria that offer mobile residential care through educational professionals. The goal is to provide holistic support to socially disadvantaged and emotionally behaviorally challenged youths aged 16 to 18 years (in justified exceptional cases up to 21 years). The focus is on imparting household management skills, structuring the daily routine, and vocational orientation. Through individual counseling and care, social competence, independence, and future prospects are strengthened. Additionally, the program promotes integration into the residential environment and the learning of individual coping strategies to enable the youths to lead a self-responsible daily life and effectively face multiple challenges. Financing is provided as an ongoing grant and offers institutions planning security, as applications can be submitted at any time.
Eligible for funding are private child and youth welfare institutions with a written service contract with the Styrian State Government. A prerequisite for the grant is a valid care agreement for the youths as well as proof of social disadvantage or emotional disturbance, associated with endangerment of welfare or intolerable family situations. Also considered are youths who, after leaving other support institutions, cannot remain with their families. The grant supports institutions in maintaining a sustainable care offering and providing the youths with a reliable daily structure. Through the continuous funding opportunity, individual needs can be flexibly addressed and long-term support ensured.
