Promotion of Physical Activity for Youth

The BürgerStiftung Region Ahrensburg provides targeted physical activity programs for disadvantaged children and youth in Schleswig-Holstein through its grant program. In particular, children and young people from facilities of Lebenshilfe Stormarn are given the opportunity to sustainably strengthen their physical health and social participation. Through cooperation with local partners, such as INDOO Spielwerk Ahrensburg, action days as well as long-term projects are implemented that promote both the joy of movement and the experience of community. The offer is embedded in the thematic areas of health, sports, work & social affairs, as well as culture & media, and aims to reduce barriers and expand participation opportunities.

Interested private individuals, institutions, and initiatives can submit funding applications continuously, provided no differing deadlines apply. Selection is informal and based on the alignment with the goals of the foundation initiative. Since applications are currently not possible, it is recommended to closely monitor the start of new application rounds. Through this long-term support, sustainable movement structures are created for the inclusive participation of disadvantaged young people.
