Description
Visual Arts: Funding for Associations, Comparable Institutions, and Individuals offers a continuous grant opportunity in Vienna for the partial financing of annual programs and individual projects in the field of visual arts. Since 01.01.2013, interest groups, associations, non-profit organizations, and private individuals can submit their projects at any time to the responsible Federal Ministry. The goal is to strengthen contemporary art by supporting ambitious initiatives across all sectors of culture and media. Applications should be submitted at least three months before the project start date. The funding is aimed at Austrian citizens or persons with permanent residence in Austria and requires a financial or in-kind contribution depending on economic capacity. Without responsible involvement from the applicants, projects cannot be fully realized; therefore, the submission of an application in accordance with § 4 of the Art Funding Act is essential.
For the application, the general application form as well as the form for scholarships, acquisitions, and studios must be enclosed. Program providers must demonstrate the extent to which other federal or private funds are available to ensure transparent allocation of resources. In addition to the residency of the applicants, proper submission and demonstration of a planned personal contribution are prerequisites for funding. This targeted support aims to secure the sustainable integration of visual arts in society and to provide artists with stable framework conditions. Interested associations, comparable institutions, and individuals are invited to submit their creative concepts and actively contribute to shaping the cultural offerings in Vienna.
