Eligible expenses

Description
The Education Voucher supports the qualification of employees of Austrian companies in their foreign branches through a 50% subsidy for external training costs. Funded are training measures lasting up to six months, focusing on business administration and internationalization, offered by Austrian educational providers or their partner organizations. The maximum funding amount is €7,500 per company, which can be increased by up to €2,500 through a technology or sustainability bonus. The service period begins on the date of application and ends after nine months or at the latest on 31.03.2027. The goal is to strengthen the competencies of personnel abroad and thereby expand the international competitiveness of Austrian companies.
Eligible are SMEs and large companies that are active members of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber or the Chambers of Civil Engineers and operate a foreign branch in the target country with at least 25% Austrian ownership. Further requirements include substantial value creation in Austria of at least 25% and compliance with the de minimis aid limits. Applications for Russia and Belarus are excluded. For submission in the funding account, among other documents, the training offer, a participant list of the foreign branch, as well as proof of ownership structure and any requested bonus must be provided. The funding agency evaluates applications based on completeness, training success prospects, and macroeconomic benefit. Applications can be submitted until 31.03.2027 to benefit from the efficient and straightforward direct funding.
