Description
The Brandenburg Loan "Energy-Efficient Residential Construction" is aimed at municipal housing companies, housing cooperatives, as well as private investors in the housing sector in the state of Brandenburg. The program complements the federal funding for efficient buildings by KfW with an additional repayment grant of 5% on the loan amount. It supports complex new construction, conversion, and renovation projects of rental housing that meet the KfW Efficiency House standard. Up to 100% of eligible costs, including construction and ancillary construction costs, land costs, and financing costs, can be financed on a long-term basis. Combining this with other funding is possible, provided that the total amount of support does not exceed the eligible expenses.
To apply, submission of a complete application, a cost and financing plan, as well as a valid energy certificate before the start of the project to the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg (ILB) is required. This is supplemented by design plans, calculation of living space, cadastral documents, architect contract/power of attorney, land register excerpt, and a declaration regarding politically exposed persons (PEP). The evaluation is based on achieving a KfW Efficiency House standard, the project specifics, and sustainability aspects. As a loan program with ongoing funding opportunities, the credit supports the climate protection policies of the state and federal government and makes a sustainable contribution to the modernization and securing of the housing stock in Brandenburg.
