Among others, local cultural projects, educational offerings in the cultural sector, as well as further training aimed at linking cultural heritage and contemporary developments in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are supported. Explicit encouragement is given to cultural projects that foster inclusive exchange and interdisciplinary cooperation. A prerequisite for funding is that the projects have a clearly defined, time-limited framework and demonstrably serve the goal of preserving and strengthening the community. Funding is granted exclusively to non-profit entities operating without economic interests or profit motives. This ensures that the grants directly benefit cultural and educational projects.

The professional review and administration of the funds are handled by the State Funding Institute Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, which, as the approving authority, also ensures the efficient use of available budgetary resources.
