Description
The Federal Funding for Energy Consulting for Residential Buildings enables private owners, tenants, leaseholders, usufructuaries, as well as condominium owners' associations (WEG) to receive professional energy consulting for the targeted planning of energy-efficient renovations. Through subsidized on-site consultations, individual renovation roadmaps (iSFP) are created, which identify suitable measures to improve energy efficiency and reduce CO₂ emissions. The consulting provided by qualified experts offers a solid basis for decision-making regarding comprehensive or stepwise renovations and thus supports the achievement of climate protection goals. A prerequisite for the application is that the building permit or building notification is at least ten years old and – if tenants, leaseholders, or usufructuaries submit the application – that written consent from the owners is provided.
50% of the consulting fee is subsidized, up to a maximum of €650 for single- and two-family houses and €850 for residential buildings with three or more units. Additionally, condominium owners' associations receive an explanatory grant of up to €250 per meeting. Applications must be submitted via the BAFA portal before the project begins; this requires a completed application form, a De-minimis declaration, if applicable a power of attorney, and the declaration after the consultation has been conducted. After successful verification of the proof of use, the payment is made directly to the applicants. This continuously available grant funding makes a decisive contribution to increasing the energy efficiency of residential buildings throughout Germany.
