Description

The Federal Volunteer Service at the St. Florian Foundation Neuzelle offers people aged 16 and over the opportunity to engage in charitable activities in Brandenburg. Participants can work in the social, ecological, and cultural sectors, as well as in sports, integration work, or civil and disaster protection, gaining practical experience. The general funding is aimed at private individuals of all ages who have completed full-time schooling. Continuous entry is possible at any time, ensuring flexibility in planning the volunteer service. The goal is to expand skills, sharpen social awareness, and strengthen the connection with society – fully in line with the charitable mission and the Christian-based guiding values of the foundation.

Participants receive a monthly allowance, free accommodation if possible, and coverage of social security contributions. In addition, 25 seminar days are offered for those under 27, and individually tailored education days for older participants, to promote both professional and personal development. The service lasts between 6 and 18 months, with options for full-time or part-time service of over 20 hours per week. Application documents can be submitted at any time without a fixed deadline. Preparation and support are provided by professional mentors who assist with questions and personal concerns. This volunteer service combines practical work experience with individual learning and development opportunities and makes a valuable contribution to social cohesion in the region.
