Description

The REAG/GARP Program offers reliable financial support nationwide to refugees and migrants residing in Germany for voluntary return and sustainable reintegration in their country of origin. Through continuous funding opportunities and a straightforward application process, the program promptly enables the coverage of transport costs for departure as well as reintegration costs on site. The central funding agency is the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), which, as a federal authority within the portfolio of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community, is responsible for the entire handling from application processing to the distribution of funding benefits. The funding is aimed at individuals who have made their return decision independently and can provide proof of voluntary willingness to return.

Specifically funded are transport costs for departure as well as in-kind services for social and economic reintegration in the country of origin. To apply, a completed application form, travel documents, and proof of residence in Germany must be submitted. Since applications are processed continuously, there is no fixed deadline, ensuring quick planning security. The REAG/GARP Program aims to comprehensively support those interested in returning to create a stable perspective in the country of origin and promote sustainable reintegration. As part of a responsible migration policy, this offer makes a significant contribution to self-determined return and social stability.
