Federal Foreign Language Competition

The Federal Foreign Language Competition is a nationwide language contest open to students from grades 6 to 13 as well as trainees, allowing continuous registrations. Through various age and task models – ranging from creative team projects to individual solo contributions – intercultural competencies and foreign language skills are promoted in a playful manner. Participants can submit their own entries in categories such as SOLO, SOLO Plus, TEAM School, and TEAM Profession, which are evaluated in rounds and rewarded with financial prizes or scholarships. This format provides language-enthusiastic youths and young adults with a platform to showcase their linguistic talents and gain valuable experience in international exchange.

Eligible to apply are private individuals interested in foreign languages and intercultural exchange. Applicants under 18 must submit a written consent form from their parents or legal guardians to validate participation in the competition. Funding is provided once in the form of grants and awards, without a fixed maximum budget per entry. A standardized application procedure ensures transparency, and submissions are made digitally via a personal login area. Ongoing deadlines offer flexibility for all educational levels.
