Description
The Burgenland Economic Agency supports local SMEs in implementing practice-oriented digitalization projects with a non-repayable grant of 30% up to a maximum of €6,000. Applicant companies that qualify as SMEs according to the EU definition and have their business location in Burgenland can submit a project between July 14, 2025, and January 31, 2026. Funding is provided for activation-required new investments in software, software licenses (up to 12 months), services from external providers such as programming, as well as digitalization-related IT acquisitions. The project duration is up to 12 months, with a retention period of three years. Used hardware and standard software, operating costs, travel and accommodation expenses, advertising costs, and in-house services are excluded. Applications must be submitted via the online portal and supplemented with a completed application form, funding guidelines, cost calculation, De minimis declaration, and proof of trade authorization.
The funding objective aims at the sustainable strengthening of competitiveness and value creation by enabling companies to digitalize their business and administrative processes, implement e-commerce and online marketing solutions, and establish IT and cybersecurity measures. Selection is based on implementation relevance, digitalization potential, and competitive significance. One implementation project per company is permitted, and compliance with the De minimis aid limit is a prerequisite for approval. The decision on funding lies with the Burgenland State Government based on the recommendations of the funding commission. The comprehensive funding guidelines are available for download; applications are submitted via the Burgenland Economic Agency’s funding portal.
