Description

The Opportunity Giver of the Kinderchancen Allgäu Foundation grants children and adolescents from the Württemberg Allgäu region (Aitrach, Aichstetten, Bad Wurzach, Kißlegg, Leutkirch, Argenbühl, and Isny) access to extracurricular leisure activities. The focus is on financial support for intangible measures in the areas of sports, music, and culture, particularly when the family income is at the threshold for receiving social benefits or such benefits are already being received. Through subsidies for membership fees, lessons, or tournament participation, social inclusion is to be promoted and personal development sustainably strengthened. Since retroactive funding is not possible, early application submission is advisable. Continuous funding opportunities allow for repeated applications in case of ongoing need.

Eligible to apply are legal guardians, children, adolescents, as well as multipliers such as teachers and social workers. In addition to the completed application form, proof of receipt of social benefits or income certificates must be submitted. The foundation reviews each application for legally entitled benefits (e.g., education and participation package) and takes the individual family situation into account. Approval is granted based on available funds and priority statutory funding without entitlement to approval. The subsidy payment is made directly to the respective institution (e.g., club or music school). This creates a low-threshold access for the beneficiary children and adolescents to enriching leisure activities and new social contacts.
