Description
The CHILDREN JUGEND HILFT Competition supports private initiatives and non-profit organizations nationwide in which children and young people implement their own ideas. The aim is to promote independent, voluntary engagement with a social, ecological, or socio-political focus. Projects addressing themes such as education for sustainable development, environmental/nature conservation, democracy education, or energy efficiency & climate protection are expressly welcome. Ongoing funding opportunities allow for flexible submission of project ideas. The decision on grant awards is made several times a year by an expert jury based on criteria such as innovation, societal added value, and feasibility. The funding helps to strengthen equal opportunities and empower young people in democratic participation.
Participants submit a project description, a financing plan, and an application form, whereby the initiative must originate entirely from children and young people. The focus is on voluntary commitment to other people and societal issues. For a successful application, all requirements must be met – initiation by young people, voluntary character, and thematic orientation. Interested parties can find all necessary documents at Children for a better World e.V. in Munich, the organization responsible for the initiative. The competition offers a valuable platform for young project makers to realize their visions and initiate sustainable change. In doing so, CHILDREN makes an important contribution to promoting engagement, democratic awareness, and environmental protection in Germany.
