Description
The EU-funded initiative aims to establish a sustainable industry-driven collaboration platform for connected and autonomous vehicles of the future. By combining digital technologies, AI solutions, and vehicle systems, it seeks to strengthen the competitiveness and innovation leadership of the European automotive sector. Industry and research institutions, companies, and consortia in EU member states are given the opportunity to develop open software and hardware standards and operate them within a shared digitalized development environment. Expected outcomes include the creation of a strategic roadmap, the definition of high-level technical architectures and interfaces, as well as the operation of a digital developer repository and pilot facilities for large-scale test scenarios. The platform promotes consensus on standardized components, advances ethical data sharing, and establishes a sustainable governance structure for future collaborations. Submissions are possible until 03/03/2026, 5:00 p.m. (Brussels time).
For the application, a consortium of at least three independent organizations from three different EU member states is required, demonstrating their financial and operational capacity. Projects in the fields of digitalization, research, and innovation are funded with a grant amount of up to €3,500,000 (100% funding rate). Evaluation is based on the criteria of Excellence, Impact, and Quality and Efficiency of Implementation. Required documents include the call document, the standard application form (DEP), the Ownership Control Declaration, and the Model Grant Agreement (MGA). Submission is made electronically via the EU Funding & Tenders Portal. Interested partners are invited to review the call and register in time for the single-stage procedure.
