Description
CyberMe is a European cooperation project within the framework of Erasmus+ that specifically prepares young women across the EU for a career in cybersecurity. Educational institutions and non-profit organizations receive a grant to implement an extensive training program that combines gamified capture-the-flag challenges, interactive workshops, and national as well as international cyber hackathons. Accompanying this is a "Launchpad Training Toolkit," which enables youth educators to create inclusive learning environments and facilitate access to practical exercises. Through inspiring success stories on the project blog and targeted networking events, CyberMe supports participants in expanding their digital skills within a safe, competitive environment.
During the funding period from October 31, 2025, to October 31, 2027, CyberMe contributes to increasing diversity, inclusivity, and resilience in the cybersecurity sector. By imparting technical fundamentals, practical experience, and confident role models, gender gaps and barriers are to be reduced. Young women in their teenage and young adult years strengthen their skills, gain self-confidence, and develop career prospects in an innovative future field. The program contributes to digital inclusion and promotes equal opportunities in line with the sustainable development goals. The Digital Opportunities Foundation coordinates the project together with partners from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Malta, Italy, and Austria.
