Description

The funding initiative aims to support national and cross-border Cyber Hubs, CSIRTs, NCSCs, NIS-SPOCs, as well as other responsible public and private entities EU-wide in the development and provision of AI-based cybersecurity tools, technologies, and services. With a total volume of up to €15 million per project (100% funding rate), small and medium-sized enterprises, research institutions, and public bodies can refinance personnel costs, travel and subsistence expenses, equipment and devices, subcontractor services, and other direct costs. The objective is to create powerful solutions for automated threat detection, the processing and secure exchange of Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), and rapid response to security incidents. These technologies are intended not only to be secure and trustworthy but also standardized and certifiable across the EU to build a robust ecosystem of trustworthy AI solutions.

Interested actors from EU Member States and associated countries can submit their applications between 28 October 2025 and 31 March 2026 (17:00 Brussels time). Eligibility requires compliance with the participation conditions outlined in Section 6 of the call document. Projects will be evaluated based on the excellence of the project idea, impact and exploitation, as well as feasibility and management. Fundable activities range from continuous analysis of network data and automated penetration testing to the development of self-healing mechanisms and privacy-compliant anonymization solutions, as well as support for certification processes within the EU legal framework. This program thus significantly contributes to strengthening the European cybersecurity ecosystem and defending against advanced cyber threats.
