Description
With financial support from the Office of the Burgenland Provincial Government, Department for Women, Anti-Discrimination and Equal Treatment, members of the women's competitive team of the Volunteer Fire Brigade Minihof-Liebau in Burgenland receive grants for equipment, qualification measures, training camps, and transportation costs. The non-repayable grant is aimed at clubs and interest groups in the fields of sports, women's promotion, culture & media, as well as labor & social affairs. By promoting innovative training concepts and media accompaniment, team spirit is strengthened and the visibility of women in firefighting is sustainably increased. Applications can be submitted continuously without a deadline, enabling prompt project implementation.
A prerequisite for a positive funding commitment is a largely secured overall financing before the project begins. The Department for Women, Anti-Discrimination and Equal Treatment does not assume liability for defaults, deficit coverage, or debt servicing, and subsidy funds may only be used for the approved project. For larger projects, payment in installments is possible to allow flexible budget management. Any significant changes to the project course must be reported immediately to the responsible case officers. Selection is based on a written evaluation procedure including verification of documentation. The only document to be submitted is the Funding Application for the Department for Women, Anti-Discrimination and Equal Treatment, whereby additional evidence may be requested according to the funding guidelines. This continuous funding opportunity has been in place since December 17, 2013, and is valid indefinitely. The initiative follows the guidelines of the gender mainstreaming strategy in Burgenland and actively contributes to equality and the visibility of women in the sports and firefighting context.
