Description

The German Student Scholarship of the Roland Berger Foundation offers motivated and high-achieving children and adolescents nationwide, from the 2nd grade until graduation, the opportunity for targeted talent development. Participants from socially disadvantaged families are selected through a multi-stage selection process initiated by teachers from around 70 partner schools. As a prize and recognition, each scholarship recipient receives an individually tailored support plan based on ten academic and personal learning areas. In addition to classic cultural techniques such as reading, writing, and arithmetic, the focus is also on digital competence, STEM skills, as well as team and leadership abilities. This 360-degree approach ensures that subject knowledge, value orientation, and personal development are promoted equally.

The foundation offers a variety of methodological formats: individual interventions, small group coaching, seminars, workshops, internships, holiday academies, competitions, and voluntary mentorship accompany the scholarship holders on their journey. Evaluations by external partners and an internal diagnostic system ensure continuous quality development. Good academic results, social engagement, and recommendations from teachers form the central evaluation criteria. Thanks to ongoing application opportunities, admission can be initiated at any time through the partner schools. The German Student Scholarship sustainably strengthens talents and distributes educational opportunities fairly – in the spirit of an inclusive society that systematically fosters young potential.
