German-French-Polish Residency Program "Tandem Residency"

German-French-Polish Residency Program “Tandem Residency” annually offers three tandems of authors and translators from all literary genres from Germany, France, and Poland a ten-day workspace and meeting place in the historic Genshagen Castle near Berlin. Individuals can apply as a team (author and translator) to work together on literary texts and translation projects within the framework of a scholarship. The residency is aimed at both established duos and new partnerships seeking to strengthen cultural dialogue. During their stay, participants enjoy peace and inspiration to advance creative endeavors and exchange ideas in the inspiring atmosphere of the Weimar Triangle. Funding is provided in the form of a grant covering travel and accommodation costs.

With this trilateral program, the Genshagen Foundation aims to intensify European cooperation in the cultural sector and deepen understanding of the literary landscapes of neighboring countries. Participants are to gain new impulses for cross-border projects through direct exchange of professional experiences and joint events. Eligible for funding are tandems with citizenship from Germany, France, or Poland; application deadlines are announced annually. The residency program focuses on professional networking and cultural mediation in the spirit of the Weimar Triangle, thereby making a sustainable contribution to strengthening trilateral literary and translation dialogue.
