Deutsche Bank Sports Scholarship

The Deutsche Bank Sports Scholarship offers nationwide financial support for outstanding student junior and elite athletes who pursue their academic education and athletic careers simultaneously. Up to 400 scholarship holders receive €300 each per month to facilitate the compatibility of competitive sports and studies. The award is granted as a prize by the Deutsche Sporthilfe Foundation in cooperation with Deutsche Bank and complements existing Sporthilfe funding. As a non-profit organization with a long-standing tradition, the Deutsche Sporthilfe Foundation strengthens the performance capacity of German sports through creative funding concepts and ideal support – from talent promotion to personal development.

Eligible applicants are students in their first degree program (including an extension beyond the standard period of study), enrolled at a German university and already supported by Sporthilfe. There is no fixed application deadline, as the program is continuously open. A prerequisite is proof of ongoing Sporthilfe funding as a junior or elite athlete. The financial grant of €300 per month helps to reconcile training and competition schedules with academic requirements. This scholarship is aimed at dedicated athletes who strive for top performance both in their field of study and in sports and seek additional financial as well as ideal support.
