Germany Scholarship (Protestant School Foundation in the EKBO)

The Germany Scholarship of the Protestant School Foundation in the EKBO supports excellent teaching students at universities in Berlin and Brandenburg through a public-private partnership with the federal government. As a monthly grant, the program accompanies high-achieving and socially committed talents over a period of 12 months, linking financial support with an idealistic framework program. The goal is to attract future teachers to the schools of the Protestant School Foundation in the EKBO in the long term and to make a sustainable contribution to the quality of the educational landscape in the region.

Funded are enrolled teaching students in the fields of STEM, primary and special education, who demonstrate outstanding academic or school achievements and distinguish themselves through social engagement. Selection is based on the criteria of academic achievements, social engagement, and potential for the Protestant School Foundation EKBO. The annual application round ensures that new talents regularly have the opportunity to receive funding. In addition to the financial grant, scholarship holders benefit from networking opportunities, welcome meetings, and exclusive study trips organized by the foundation’s school department. Particularly motivated participants thus receive valuable impulses for their future work at the 36 schools and 17 after-school care centers of the school foundation in Berlin and Brandenburg.
