Description
The Passau University Foundation supports students of the University of Passau within the framework of the Deutschlandstipendium with a monthly amount of €300, half of which is funded from the foundation’s private resources and half from federal funds. This award recognizes outstanding academic achievements, social engagement, as well as special personal or social circumstances, and provides support particularly in times of need. The funding extends over twelve months and can be applied for annually. Continuous awarding ensures that committed and high-achieving students are unbureaucratically relieved and motivated to further expand their academic and voluntary activities. In this way, the foundation contributes to sustainably strengthening the potential of young people for science, business, and society in Eastern Bavaria.
Eligible for funding are all students enrolled at the University of Passau who demonstrate excellent grades, engage socially or culturally, and have successfully overcome special personal circumstances. The funding covers 100% of the monthly scholarship payment and does not require recipient loans. Evaluation is based on three equally weighted criteria: academic achievements, social engagement, and personal and social aspects. This holistic selection strategy not only honors top performance but also acknowledges individual life paths. The Passau University Foundation invites interested candidates to submit their applications annually and thus become part of a growing network of Deutschlandstipendium recipients.
