Description
The dhu Foundation supports community-oriented projects in Hamburg neighborhoods and districts with housing stock owned by dhu eG. The goal is to initiate and strengthen social networking and neighborhood initiatives. Sponsors from non-profit associations, interest groups, educational institutions, or social enterprises can apply for grants for project development, implementation, and follow-up financing. Individual funding covers material and personnel cost reimbursements up to a maximum of €5,000 per project. Retroactive costs are not considered. The thematic scope includes education, culture, social work, as well as engagement for social cohesion and democracy. Through the flexible allocation of seed funding, innovative ideas are supported and sustainable local cooperations are enabled.
Applications are accepted continuously according to a standardized procedure. A prerequisite is proof of non-profit status and a project location in Hamburg or in districts with dhu eG housing stock. The application package includes a project description, documentation with original receipts, and a final accounting. After project completion, a report and meaningful photographic materials are required as evidence. Funding decisions are made without legal entitlement and are based on the commitment to local self-help. Interested initiatives and institutions can obtain detailed information about the procedure and application form directly from the Foundation. The continuous submission option ensures timely support and uncomplicated realization of non-profit projects.
