The Dieter von Holtzbrinck Foundation supports nationwide nonprofit educational projects with its program “Digital Transformation in Education” that integrate digital competencies and future skills into everyday school life. Educational institutions and nonprofit organizations can continuously submit applications for grants to implement initiatives such as IT2School – Discovering IT Together or to realize comparable projects aimed at digitalization. The goal is to equip young people early on with informatics knowledge, media literacy, critical reflection, as well as communication and collaboration skills. This effectively strengthens their participation and creative potential in an increasingly digitalized society.
The funding offer is primarily aimed at students, teachers, and educational facilitators who wish to impart digital key qualifications. In addition to IT2School, the Foundation supports other selected projects that develop and test innovative methods and concepts for promoting digital competence. Through the continuous call for proposals, educational providers benefit flexibly from financial support and expert input.
