Funding Framework and Objectives
The Diversity: Project/Event and Investment Subsidy of the City of Villach is aimed at initiatives in Carinthia that enrich social life through target group-specific projects. Supported are endeavors that enable social participation, promote the inclusion of disadvantaged groups, strengthen self-organization, and implement prevention and victim protection measures. Innovative event formats, cultural or media offerings, and advisory services also qualify as fundable measures. With the open-ended application window available since March 15, 2022, it is possible to continuously apply for grants for project and investment costs, thereby sustainably strengthening local networks.
Application Procedures and Selection Criteria
Eligible to apply are legal entities as well as organizations such as associations, cooperatives, companies, non-profit institutions, or foundations with headquarters or relevant operational sites in Villach. Applications are submitted electronically to the Magistrate of Villach and require a detailed cost estimate for funding volumes exceeding €3,000. Additionally, a current commercial register or ZVR excerpt as well as disclosure of all other funding sources must be provided. Project leaders convince the jury through the degree of innovation, appropriateness, and the demonstrable contribution to social cohesion. After a positive decision, a final accounting and proof of use must be submitted. This transparent procedure ensures appropriate use of funds and sustainably strengthens diversity promotion in the region.
