Dr. E. A. Langner Foundation: General Support

Since 2004, the Dr. E. A. Langner Foundation, based in Hamburg, has actively supported young, culturally interested individuals and projects in the fields of education, health, social services, sports, as well as research and innovation. Designed as individual seed funding, the foundation enables both one-time individual assistance and longer-term project funding until other sponsors can take over further support. The foundation supports creative initiatives with financial resources in the form of scholarships, reimbursements for material and personnel costs, or awards. In addition, it contributes ideationally to the successful development of projects through advice, networking, and professional exchange. Funding decisions are made on an ongoing basis and are subject to individual case-by-case review, ensuring a flexible funding horizon.

Private individuals, non-profit associations, initiatives, artists, cultural institutions, and educational establishments from Hamburg may submit informal applications at any time. The aim is to strengthen projects and individuals, particularly in the idea and conceptual phase, and to sustainably establish culture-promoting impulses in the public sphere. The Dr. E. A. Langner Foundation relies on an inclusive selection process and supports both musical endeavors as well as educational and health-oriented initiatives. Interested applicants receive all important information and application documents directly from the foundation and are guided through a transparent, straightforward process to effectively unfold creative potential.
