Description

The Dr.-Ing. August and Rosemarie Albers Foundation provides financial support to family caregivers in Baden-Württemberg by specifically covering costs for short-term care, bridge care, as well as holiday and event relief. This funding enables caregivers to take urgently needed breaks and to resume their social and cultural participation. The grants are awarded as subsidies and can be applied for continuously. As a legally recognized foundation under civil law based in Freiburg im Breisgau, it puts Christian charity into practice and works in close cooperation with the Caritas Association Freiburg-Stadt e. V.

Eligible for funding are private individuals residing in Baden-Württemberg who care for people in need of assistance at home – with or without disabilities. Applicants receive financial support for expenses that contribute to relief in everyday life: from short-term inpatient care to transitional care and substitute services during cultural or private events. The goal is to create sustainable opportunities for rest, personal activities, and social integration. Through this targeted relief, not only is the quality of life of caregivers improved, but home care is also promoted in the long term.
