Dr. Marschner Exhibition Award "Excellently Exhibited"

The Dr. Marschner Foundation awards the Dr. Marschner Exhibition Prize "Excellently Exhibited," endowed with 25,000 euros, in Hesse to honor outstanding curatorial concepts from non-profit and public institutions in Frankfurt am Main and Offenbach. The aim of the award is to strengthen the cultural significance of visual arts and their presentation formats within the regional context. An independent expert jury evaluates submissions based on the persuasiveness of their curatorial concept, the substance of their content work, and the successful symbiosis of artistic idea and curatorial implementation. Only projects from non-profit or public sponsors based in the two cities are eligible for funding.

Nominations are made through a comprehensive nomination text outlining the concept and the underlying curatorial vision. In addition to formal proof of non-profit status and regional location, detailed explanations of the planned exhibition project are required. The jury selects the award winner in January of the following year; the award ceremony takes place as part of a festive event. The prize money is intended to provide new impulses for the further development of artistic positions and their visibility in public space. Institutions that reach their target audiences both professionally and in terms of public impact through innovative exhibition formats are particularly supported and receive valuable recognition for their curatorial achievements.
