Description
The printing cost contributions from the State of Salzburg are aimed at publishers in the fields of wind and folk music, folk culture, and regional museums. Funding is provided for printing costs of publications such as brochures, prospectuses, commemorative publications, catalogs, and other ethnological as well as museum-specific printed materials. Eligible applicants include natural persons, interest groups, associations, non-profit organizations, and public institutions based in Salzburg. The funding is granted as a subsidy and is continuously available, provided the application is submitted before the start of the project execution. The goal is to make cultural publications visible and to strengthen regional identity through well-prepared professional and association print publications.
For a successful application, an informal request with a detailed concept, cost estimates, and a meaningful financing plan are required. The funded expenses exclusively cover the printing costs of the respective publication. A prerequisite for approval is that the project objective clearly corresponds to the funding priorities and that a realistic cost calculation with an appropriate own contribution is submitted during the funding application. After approval, a partial invoice in the amount of the approved sum must be submitted, along with a complete cost statement and a copy of the publication. The legal basis is formed by the General Guidelines for the Granting of Funding from the State of Salzburg as well as the Salzburg Cultural Funding Act. Applications may be submitted at any time and only bind the funding agency upon written funding approval.
