Printing Cost Subsidies / Publication Funding (Calwer Verlag Foundation)

The Calwer Verlag Foundation continuously awards printing cost subsidies and supports outstanding theological as well as religious education works in both print and digital formats. The aim of this publication funding is to pave the way for authors and editors to publish significant specialist publications. Both traditional printing costs and digitization and publication expenses are supported. In doing so, the initiative strengthens pioneering contributions in research, education, culture, and media and promotes interreligious as well as ecumenical dialogue through high-quality publications.

Funding is provided to individuals, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations throughout Germany that submit a manuscript version in the theological or religious education field and adhere to the online application guidelines. The application must include the complete manuscript as well as a transparent cost breakdown. Since applications can be submitted at any time, the foundation offers maximum flexibility; detailed funding guidelines and the application form are available on the Calwer Verlag Foundation’s website. Project selection is based on professional quality and publication readiness, thereby sustainably supporting innovative concepts in religious education and theological research.
