Description
Honors & Prize Money from the Gabriele-Karola and Martin Hill Foundation recognize exceptional achievements of trainees in banking as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates in Business and Banking & Finance. Eligible nationwide are private individuals and start-ups who have completed their training or studies at one of the cooperating cooperative banks (Hamburger Volksbank eG, Volksbank Raiffeisenbank eG, VR Bank zwischen den Meeren eG, Raiffeisenbank eG). Ongoing award ceremonies and medals honor outstanding examination results, academic excellence, and participation in bank-related seminars. The aim of the awards is to acknowledge young talents—especially from disadvantaged families or with a migration background—through cash prizes, medals, scholarships, and grants to sustainably improve training opportunities and support career advancement.
Applications are possible at any time and require a written application (letter format) including an extended CV with professional future plans, proof of outstanding final achievements, indication of already approved funding, as well as a presentation of the financial circumstances and cost calculation of the project to be funded. Selection is based on transparent evaluation criteria such as proof of success in the final examination, academic performance, and seminar participation. The amount of prize money varies depending on the level of recognition. Interested parties are encouraged to submit comprehensive documentation to demonstrate their suitability for an award and to promote personal development in banking and finance.
