One-time grant for multiple births from the State of Vorarlberg

The one-time financial support from the state of Vorarlberg is aimed at legal representatives of multiples residing primarily in Vorarlberg. Since January 1, 2025, without limitation, granted subsidies honor the birth of twins with €800 and triplets with €1,200. For each additional sibling, a supplement of €400 is granted. This non-income-dependent allowance is intended to provide parents and guardians – including adoptive and foster parents – with financial compensation and to facilitate the acquisition of additional equipment. The payment is made once and is applied for digitally, thereby minimizing administrative effort and enabling an unbureaucratic process.

Prerequisites for the application are the receipt of family allowance under the Family Burden Equalization Act 1967 and submission within the first year of the multiples' lives. Additionally, a bank confirmation, proof of family allowance receipt, and a registration or household confirmation from the municipality of residence must be attached. The digital application will be available from the beginning of 2025 and can be completed online. Although there is no legal entitlement, clear requirements and a transparent procedure are intended to create participation and planning security. This initiative makes a valuable contribution to the social support of young families in Vorarlberg and promotes equal opportunities for multiples immediately after their birth.
