One-time and voluntary grant from the Mayor of Vienna for triplet births

The one-time and voluntary grant from the Mayor of Vienna supports mothers with multiple births of triplets or more in Vienna. This social subsidy is exclusively aimed at private individuals and is applied for directly at the maternity wards of all Viennese hospitals immediately after the live birth. The grant aims to alleviate the increased financial burden arising from the care of at least three newborns simultaneously. Applications can be submitted at any time from January 1, 2026, onwards, as this funding opportunity is ongoing and the budget is not limited. Performance monitoring is carried out via the Central Mother-Child Database (ZMR), ensuring a smooth and timely processing.

For the application, a completed form, the mother’s registration confirmation, and the birth certificates of all children must be submitted. The review and approval are the responsibility of the City of Vienna’s Magistrate Directorate, which treats all documents confidentially. This recognition grant not only promotes financial relief but also raises societal awareness of the particular challenges of multiple births. The one-time grant underscores the City of Vienna’s commitment to social affairs and specifically strengthens families in a life situation with increased care and cost demands.
