Description

The individual project funding of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has supported initiatives that strengthen social cohesion and integration in the region for many years. Private individuals, companies, non-profit and public institutions, as well as foundations, cooperatives, and associations, can submit applications for a one-time grant at any time. Funded are events related to integration – ranging from exhibitions and professional conferences to multilingual informational materials or interreligious calendars – as well as innovative model projects that, for example, promote language education for children with a migration background or low-threshold family work. A prerequisite is that the planned project makes a clear contribution to supporting integration processes in North Rhine-Westphalia and that there is a distinct state interest. Approval is granted by Department 36 of the Arnsberg District Government, which is responsible for all submitted projects statewide.

Submissions are possible online at any time; for projects to be implemented in the current fiscal year, it is recommended to submit applications by the end of October/beginning of November. In addition to professional quality, the evaluation primarily considers the impact on social coexistence and the clearly high interest of the state in implementation. After successful approval, proof of use and, if applicable, interim reports must be submitted to transparently document how the funds were used to achieve the project goals. The funding conditions are based on the provisions of the State Budget Code (§§ 23, 44 LHO) and the general ancillary provisions for grants for project funding (ANBest-P/G). Interested project sponsors can find all information and the online application in the central application portal.
